Basics of operation
Buttons
Status displays
This button switches the map view between
the options 2D map and 3D map.
Use this button to show or hide the split-
screen (only available in 480 x 272 pixel). A
description of the split-screen can be found in
the section Function of the split-screen
.
Optional information on the next manoeuvre,
points of interest in the area or along the route
and traffic information along the route is
provided here in split-screen mode (only
available in 480 x 272 pixel) for direct
selection.
This button takes you from the map view back
to the main menu.
This button opens the settings window
Volume: here you can set the volume for the
voice output (Navigation), the key click and
the integrated MP3 Player (if available for
your device).
This button is only available if your navigation
system is equipped with a Bluetooth hands-
free device (see device manual).
Use this button to display buttons to zoom out
from or zoom in on the map section. When
you click on this button again, the map
changes back to Auto-zoom mode.
This button opens the Current route menu,
which is described in the section Quick
access via the Current route menu.
The distance to the next manoeuvre is
displayed here.
The street you are currently on is displayed
here. Detailed turn-off information from the
lane assistant is also shown here in 320 x 240
pixel format.
The TMC reception quality is displayed here
(TMC
or Premium TMC , if available
for your device).
The charge status is displayed here.
The GPS reception quality is displayed here.
The average speed is displayed here.
The current speed is displayed here.
Traffic warnings and information on driving
safety are shown here if they are activated in
the Settings (see Adapting the warning
settings and driving safety).
The estimated time of arrival at the destination
is displayed here.
Your current position within the map section is
displayed here.
The remaining travel time to the destination is
displayed here.
The distance to the destination is displayed
here.
The current scale on the map section is
displayed here.
